Beach Wedding Attire
As part of my summer wedding blog series, I’ve chosen the best beach wedding attire, including dresses, shoes and accessories for this more casual dress code.
Beach weddings typically allow for a more casual dress code with lighter fabrics, shorter heels, and light makeup. For the dress itself, you can go long or short, with maxi dresses and sundresses being a popular option for the warmer climates. Stick to summery, lighter colors vs. dark shades or blacks which can be too formal for a beach wedding. It’s your chance to wear some bright summer colors that you might not be able to get away with at a cocktail or black-tie wedding! Lastly, you can choose lighter fabrics since the reception is outside (aka HOT), like chiffon, organza, and jersey cotton. When in doubt, ask the bride just to be safe!
For accessories, comfort is key. Shoes-wise, make sure to wear comfortable shoes that you can walk in through the sand, like flat sandals or wedges (skip the heels). Due to the heat and potential wind of the beach, wear minimal or easy-to-wear jewelry and hair accessories.
Here are some of my picks for beach wedding attire below.

Dresses: Orange Strapless Maxi Dress | Modcloth Cyan Blue Dress | Coral Dress | Modcloth Yellow Dress
