Yellow Sundress

Nothing cheers me up more than the color yellow. Although it tends to wash me out (I didn’t get as tan as I would have liked to this summer), I still enjoy wearing it from time to time since it is my favorite. When I saw this yellow sundress back in late spring at H&M, I loved it so much that I bought it in two colors — navy and yellow. I particularly enjoy the skater-style bottom of it since it adds curves and movement.

Also, please ignore my squinting. It was sunny out.

More Yellow Sundress Outfit Ideas

I kept my styling fairly simple above, but you can definitely add more accessories or layers based on the season. Here are a few more ways to style a yellow sundress.

  • Color block. Throw on a cobalt blue or cheery orange blazer over the yellow sundress as a more “formal” way to color block (and make the dress more office-appropriate).
  • Add feminine accents. Whether it’s a pink belt to cinch the waist or a floral handbag for added flair, you can make the yellow sundress a touch girlier with a few accessories.
  • Add a straw hat. For a true summery feel, add straw accessories like a hat or straw bag. It can be any type of hat — fedora, floppy hat, etc.
  • Throw on a jean jacket. Jean jackets go with just about any outfit, but I’m partial to the look over a summery sundress.

  2. I so wish I could find that dress at H&M – I love it! I bet the navy is really pretty too (but yellow is my favorite). And I think you look gorgeous in yellow! Love the red lips too!
