The Best Products for Chapped Lips

Even the most beautiful of models and the most famous of celebrities share something in common with us commoners- chapped lips. Once winter rolls around, it’s inevitable that it will happen to you at least once or twice. Between the cool wind outside and the harsh and dry heat indoors, this season is bad news for your pouty puckers. I’ve tried pretty much ever chapstick, medicated ointment and handmade concoction out there to fight off chapped lips, and I’ve narrowed it down to a few products that work consistently.

For everyday use, I love Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm (some even deposit a hint of color!) For really bad chapped lips, I stick towards medicated ointments, like Blistex Lip Medex and my personal favorite, Aquaphor Healing Ointment. If you’re willing to splurge somewhere other than the drugstore, try the Josie Maran Argan Lip Treatment or Clinique Superbalm Lip Treatment which deliver great results at a higher price.

  1. I am a huge fan of Rosebud salve and Palmer’s coco butter for chapped lips. However, I’ve been seeing Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment a lot lately and may need to give it a try!

  2. I feel like I’m always trying out new chapsticks to see if they have the magic touch to cure chapped lips – it’s so hard in the winter! I use vaseline every night… sometimes the cheapest products work the best!

  3. Ahh! I am addicted to Aquaphor and I am so happy you put this on here because I use it for everything but mainly chapped lips!

  4. I used to use #2 all the time. Vaseline is a no brainer, although I don’t use it too often. My favorites for daily use are EOS, Burt’s Bees, and Baby Lips!

  5. For day, I love Vapour Organic Beauty’s Lux Lip Conditioner. It’s a small tube, but I’ve had mine for a year. It gives a nice bit of shine and isn’t too thick. At night, I usually put SW Basics lip balm in peppermint on. My lips stay chapped year round, otherwise!

I haven’t tried the EOS, but I hear so many good things about it, and the packaging is really cute, too!

  6. LOL that first sentence made me laugh. I’m honestly just an old school chapstick fan but maybe that’s because I have to have like 5 open at one time for use at different locations (at my desk, in my car, in my purse, by my bed) etc.

  7. My go to is always cherry chapstick – or Chapaid if I’m shopping at Walgreens.  I have an addiction to chapstick.

  8. I have lip balms in every single clutch, bag and cloth pocket:)   Eos lip balm looks super cute, I already saw it online but never tried it yet

  9. Vaseline is my go to lip moisturizer! I put it on EVERY night, I can’t sleep unless I put it on. I also have a mini one in my purse (its seriously SO cute!). I really want to try Baby Lips too!
