So today is my 24th birthday. I know what you’re thinking- “Wow, you’re really 24? You look 16 to me!” Yes, I do look young. But knock it off- when I’m 40 I’ll look 25 and then who will be making fun of me? No one. Anyway, although the 24th birthday isn’t a monumental one, it’s still kind of a big deal. It’s another year older, another year out of college, and another year that brings me closer to true adulthood.
When people ask me my age, I always hesitate a bit. It’s like I almost forget how old I really am because I don’t FEEL this old. If you think about in terms of typical lifespans, I’m over 1/4 of the way done with my life. That’s crazy! Although I’ve accomplished a lot and made some great memories, there are still so many things I’ve yet to do in these 24 years.
So here’s to 24! What were your favorite memories of being 24? And if you haven’t hit that age yet, what are you looking forward to?
