My Cousin’s Bridal Shower Weekend

Is it just me, or did this weekend go by way too quickly? We finally had some nice weather, and I’m slowly starting to put away the boots and transition into wedges and sandals. Here’s a little recap of my weekend.

Saturday was my cousin Monica’s bridal shower. I’m so honored to be a part of her wedding (first-time bridesmaid over here!) and it was great to see all of the hard work come together at the shower. It included beautiful weather, a nice Italian spread of food and more presents that I have ever seen in my life. It was nice to finally get to meet all of her friends from school and work and to celebrate her engagement and upcoming wedding.

After the shower, we headed over to a local brewery for some drinks, food and more sunshine. And a miracle happened- after being on my feet for 12 hours in 4″ wedges, I came out unscathed! Sure, my feet hurt a bit, but I was blister-free. Karma must be a real thing.

Things I forgot to photograph:

  • the bride-to-be opening her gifts (I was doing work on helping starting to unwrap and organize the gifts so I couldn’t snap photos)
  • the cute favors (heart-shaped whisks)
  • the yummy and creative cake pops
