Green Nail Polish for Fall

Every season a few standard things change — the weather, your wardrobe, and your nail polish, of course! Since I’m pretty pale (why is it that summer tans fade so quickly?), wearing bright neon pinks and oranges just don’t look good on my skin tone. For fall, it’s all about darker and richer shades, like burgundy and navy. But if there’s one color family that I’m loving more than the others, it’s green. From army greens to what I like to call “mermaid greens”, these shades look great with your fall wardrobe. Here are a few of my favorite picks for green nail polish for fall — what are yours?

Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel in Rain Forest  – Revlon makes some great drugstore nail polishes, and the brand is often overlooked (IMO). Apply a few coats of this shade for a darker green look.

butter LONDON Metallic Nail Lacquer in Dosh  – butter LONDON has a few different green shades, but this one is the funkiest (in a good way!) As a bonus, it’s made from clean ingredients.

Deborah Lippmann Nail Color in Laughin’ to the Bank – This gorgeous green shade has a hint of shimmer to add some luxury to your look. It looks lovely in winter too around the holidays.

Essie Nail Polish in Stylenomics  – This fan-favorite color is budget-friendly, too. I find that it’s a bit darker than how it looks in the bottle.

OPI Nail Lacquer in Jade is the New Black  – OPI polishes have the best names, am I right?

Essie Nail Polish in Power Clutch  – This green shade has a hint of beige/gray in it, so you can pull it off as a neutral.

OPI Nail Lacquer in Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow – This almost-black green looks much darker on than it does in the bottle. If you’re looking for a true dark green, then this is the shade for you.

  4. I have a great light but mossy green from essie, and I just got my first “mermaid” green from julep! I’m excited to give this trend a try!

  6. I didn’t realize I had such a thing for green nail polish until I read this post. I was just oogling the Deborah Lippmann shade in Sephora last week, but didn’t buy it. Good thing I didn’t because I already own Jade is the New Black, Stylenomics, Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow and Power Clutch. I think I’m set with green for a while 😉
