Spring Blush for Winter

While I certainly can’t make winter go away any faster, an easy way to fake that spring feeling is with makeup. For me, adding some color to my cheeks makes me look a little more alive, healthy and spring-y. Whether you prefer a peachy-coral, bright pink or a mauve, natural flush, there is a perfect spring blush for you out there somewhere. Here are a few of my favorite picks for spring blushes- what are yours?

spring blushes

Clinique Cheek Pop

This is hands down the cutest blush I’ve ever seen. In fact, I probably wouldn’t even want to use it because that would require messing up the adorable flower imprint. Am I weird? Anyway, the 4 shades are all very wearable, with my favorite being “Plum Pop, shown above. The silky powder with staying power is made by Clinique, so you know it will work on even the most sensitive of skin types.

Benefit Cosmetics Posietint

As a longtime fan of Benefit’s Benetint, I was anxious to try this lighter, poppy pink shade. The ease of use, staying power and life-like color are perfect for spring. I tend to use it mainly on my cheeks, but it looks just as pretty on your lips, too!

Tarte Cheek Stain

Tarte’s newest blush comes in the form of their long-lasting cheek stains. I absolutely love the packaging of this line- each shade features a different pattern on the container. I suggest trying the shade “Tipsy”- a sheer coral that anyone can pull off- even makeup newbies.

Maybelline Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick

The magazine ads for these new blush sticks make me want to buy every single shade. The “Coral Shine” shade is perfect for faking a spring glow in winter. The easy stick application means less mess, which is always an A+ is my book.

NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush

I love NYX products- especially their blushes. They are highly pigmented and are so affordable. The perfect pink shade, in my opinion, is Bourgeois Pig. This pink looks bright and slightly scary in the container, but goes on lighter for a wearable hint of color.

Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion Blush

This ballerina-pink shade looks great on lighter skin tones, like myself. It also has a touch of shimmer that’s just enough.
