June Beauty Favorites
It’s time to round up my favorite beauty and skincare products from June. Sure the month isn’t over yet, but just go with it.
Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
I’m always drawn to trying new products that claim to clean my pores and make them less visible. I don’t have an issue with them getting clogged, my issue is that they are noticeable- even when they are clean. So annoying! This Biore cleanser works to clean pores with charcoal. I am obsessed with the minty scent it leaves as you scrub- it helps to wake me up in the morning.
Complete Care Triple Angle Pro & Complete Care Triple Angle Floss
I received some free samples of these 2 toothbrushes from REACH. They could not have come at a better time- my old toothbrush was just starting to feel old and the bristles were getting too soft. I was really interested in the triple angle floss toothbrush since it has floss-like bristles to remove plaque deep between teeth and along the gum line. Floss in a toothbrush? Genius!
Stila CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 20
I’ve never tried a CC cream until I received a mini bottle of this Stila version with my last Sephora order. The color comes out looking green-ish but then instantly matches my skin tone (well technically it was a little darker than my skin tone but after buffing it in enough it matched perfectly). It’s perfect for summer with SPF 20 for daily sun protection.
Dove Nutritive Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Leave In Smoothing Cream
I tend to wear my hair naturally wavy 90% of the summer, which means no blow drying or heat styling tools unless it’s for a special occasion. This product works wonderfully at controlling frizz and keeping my waves looking great. I usually apply this directly after showering and comb it through to my ends. Then I leave my hair be- naturally air-drying it gives the best results.
Prescription Youth Instant Erase Eye Serum
I know, I know, I’m only 25 so I shouldn’t worry about lines around my eyes, but I like to be prepared. This eye serum works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and moisturize the sensitive area around your eyes.
I haven’t tried a CC cream yet (I’m still using a BB cream, ha) but I may have to check that Stila one out!
What’s next? DD cream? haha
I’m a total wash-and-air-dry girl in the summer, too- so this Dove smoothing cream sounds like my kinda jam! 🙂
Girl, I’m going on 27 next month and I most definitely have lines! I’m always trying out different lotions and potions to see what works.
I am very interested in the Stila CC cream. I got a sample of the Kate Somerville CC cream thinking I wouldn’t be impressed, but I think they are onto something with these CC creams. Best coverage I’ve ever gotten from anything! I like the idea of it matching your skin tone!
I’ve heard good things about the charcoal scrub from other people too, I’m going to have to go pick it up!
I totally want to try that charcoal cleanser. I saw a commercial yesterday and it’s been in my mind since. I too have issues with clean but noticeable pores. It’s annoying!
I’m so picky about the toothbrushes I buy. Dean thinks it’s crazy that I refuse to buy the dollar brushes. A dollar for a toothbrush!?? I have to use that thing every day to increase health benefits make my smile white. What is a $1 brush going to do for me?! I’ve never tried the reach one you posted about, but it’s nice to have a new one to add to the list.
haha that’s such a boy thing to say
I’ve been seeing charcoal face washes and scrubs all over the place recently! I would love to try out the Biore one! Biore makes some pretty good products for cleaning out those pores (I’m talking to you, nose strips)!
I will definitely be trying that cleanser!
I have a charcoal mask from Origins like the biore it does such a great job.
Great post. I am always looking for new products worth trying!
I’ve been wanting to try a charcoal face wash so I’ll have to try that one once my current face wash runs out 🙂 I get clogged pores around my nose so I’d love to see if this helps 🙂
Whatevs, I’m 25 and I’m constantly staring at the little lines under my eyes – they drive me nuts! I might have to give this a try 🙂 xx
