Neutrogena’s Triple Repair Haircare & Giveaway

When it comes to hair products, I’m always up for trying something new. I’ve found the perfect gel to make my waves frizz-free and have a curling iron that holds my curls like no other, but something I’m always searching for is the ideal product to help mend split ends and make my hair stronger. In case you can’t tell from the photos on my blog, I have a lot of hair, and it’s fairly fine and breaks easily, so adding strength is key. I often get comments on the length and health of my hair and receive questions about the specific products and techniques I use. Today I’m focusing on a few of my favorite products and advice for strong, healthy summer hair.

For the past two weeks I’ve been using Neutrogena’s new line of shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment designed to make your hair 3x strongers after just 1 use. My favorite product of the three is the leave-in treatment, which makes my ends feel stronger, thicker and softer after applying. I try to heat-style my hair as little as possible (I prefer to let my hair air dry for natural waves), but there are always occasions where I need to blow-dry or use a hot iron. Heat tools=damaged hair and split ends, but combined use of these products help to protect your hair against heat styling over 400 F. IMO, you shouldn’t ever use a hot tool at a temperature above 400 degrees, but to each her own.

While summer may lift our spirits and give us a nice tan, it also can take a toll on our hair. For healthy hair, I recommend avoiding blow drying as much as you can (use dry shampoo to make a blowout last longer), stop towel drying your hair (it can be rough on your hair’s cuticles) and get a trim when necessary. If you’re a swimmer, I’d recommend this line of products as well to help repair your chlorine damaged hair.

According to the product’s packages, the Triple Repair Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner mends 97% of split ends with just 1 use, while the Triple Repair Fortifying Leave-In Treatment reduces breakage by 80%. 1. I’m replying only to tell you how to enter. If you will read the post you will see that it tells us how to enter. I’m guilty of reading quickly through a post and not retaining it all myself. Hope this helps and good luck sweetie!

  1. I am going to say the styling tools is my worst threat because I do use several styling tools and they all are heated. Actually, I have damage from all three but I still say the styling tools do the most damage year round.

  2. I wet brush occasionally and sometimes my hair gets too much sun! but I try hard to damage my hair!

  3. Blow Drying! I’m actually going on vacation this week, so I’m going to try air drying more with a side braid! 🙂

  4. I color my hair every 2 months so this habit is the one I’m choosing…but I have too much gray not to color..thanks for the great giveaway, Rachel 🙂

  5. I don’t usually blow-dry, once in 2-3 weeks only, but too agressive towel drying can be damaging, too :(((

  6. For some reason, I’ve never thought of Neutrogena for hair care products. I think of them more for skin stuff. I’m so going to have to try this shampoo! My shampoo is almost out and I feel up to trying something new 🙂
