Denim for Fall

fall denim

I’ve always been a denim girl. In the summer, I love wearing denim shorts, despite the fact that people say they are ugly and call them “jorts”. I think that a simple pair of dark skinny jeans looks good on just about anyone and that there are so many ways to dress them up or down. And while I’m not on board the denim overall trend currently, I wore the shit out of them during my childhood.

Over the years I’ve went from wearing bell bottom jeans, skinny jeans, light-washed jeans that somehow don’t look good with any color expect white, and even jean skirts. Yuck. Luckily, denim and jean items are still in style, but in so many new ways. I fully embrace chambray shirts (my favorite is from Target a few seasons ago) and have taken an interest in printed denim as well.

The good news? You don’t have to look like Miranda Kerr or Olivia Palermo (above) to rock denim this fall. You just have to work to find the right wash (light, dark or somewhere in-between), the right fit (baggy boyfriend jeans or jeggings) and a confident attitude. What is your favorite way to wear denim?
