March Beauty Favorites
March is flying by- does anyone else feel that way? Although I can’t complain because I’m more than ready for warmer weather. Here are a few of my latest beauty, hair and skincare products. Have you tried any of these yet?
Phyto Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Brilliance Mask | Le Mieux Moisture Infusion Mask | Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief | Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation | Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel | Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup | Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
Phyto Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Brilliance Mask
I do a weekly deep-conditioning mask for my hair in the shower, and then use a regular conditioner throughout the rest of the week. I received a deluxe sample of this and had to try it out as my weekly mask. This salon-favorite has the packaging and scent of your typical salon treatment (in a good way, of course!) and it left my hair feeling softer after just two uses.
Le Mieux Moisture Infusion Mask
These luxurious masks were in my goodie bag at a wedding event I attended, and I’m not a convert. I never really used masks of this type before (a sheet), since I usually resort to the kind you spread on your face and let harden. It felt weird at first to put on a soaking wet mask on my face, but it left my skin feeling so supply and moisturized. Although James and the cats were a little scared of my appearance while wearing it!
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
I love Clinique products. They are so gentle on your skin and there’s a product for each and every skin concern (redness, dry skin, etc.) This gel is a lightweight product that gives your skin intense hydration. I used this up during the winter months and ended up concentrating most of it on the dry areas of my skin (which this year was around my nose for some reason). I will definitely be repurchasing in the future.
Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation
I recently started sampling some of Josie Maran’s products (I’ll review all those in a later blog post) since everyone and their mother raves about them. This foundation is light and thin (hence the name “serum foundation”) and nourished my dry skin. It goes on white but then immediately matches to your skintone as you rub it in. I was worried at first, but it ended up matching perfectly and leaving a thin, barely-there appearance on my skin. If you have generally good skin and just want a little extra coverage, I’d suggest this.
Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel
I’ve been looking for something for my eyes to wear overnight and this was the perfect option. This eye gel has a cooling affect (and appearance) so it just feels like it’s working. When I woke up in the morning after using it, my eye area felt plumper and had less visible lines when I applied my undereye concealer. I would suggest using it in the warmer months since it has that cooling effect.
Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup
In the winter, I’m all about matte skin. This “makeup” gets rid of any shine or oil and gives your face a smooth and matte appearance. I found that my powder blush and bronzer went on easier after wearing this product, since there wasn’t any dewiness to pick up too much of the color.
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
I’m pretty loyal to my Benefit Poreless Primer to hide pores, but this one is right up there, too. Although it’s a bit more pricey, it lasts super long. I love the feel of the product on my fingers when applying as well as when it’s on my skin. Makeup goes on smoothly and pores are hidden!
I need to try this oil free makeup by Clinique it sounds awesome!
March is flyinggggg. I want time to slow down haha. My skin got super dry this weekend out of nowhere (even though we’ve warmed up here in KC) and I’m wondering if I accidentally got a little sunburn and that dryness is a result, eek.
I need that eye gel in my life + beauty cabinet, STAT.
I’ve been looking for some new products! must try that eye gel!
great tip on that foundation. my skin is super sensitive and prone to cystic acne, so i tend to wear mineral powders only, but i’ve tried josie’s light argan oil on my face and it didn’t seem to irritate it. maybe that foundation would work well for me! 🙂 thanks for your fab reviews!
That hair mask sounds amazing! I need to try that out.
I love Clinique products! You should try their moisturizer!
