Life Lately in Instagram Photos
As cliche as it sounds, I can’t believe it’s 2016. 2015 was a great year and there’s so much in store for 2016 (like my wedding!) You may have noticed I’ve been a bit MIA on the blog lately, but work has been extra busy and planning a wedding isn’t exactly a walk in the park, either. So to recap a few of the recent life events, I’m sharing some snaps from Instagram.
James and I celebrating New Year’s Eve with our friends in New Jersey.
Bella looking pretty on my couch. She’s so hard to photograph because she’s so dark, so this was a rare nice photo.
We had a great time in Hoboken celebrating James’ birthday with all of our friends.
Little Harvey taking a nap with me the day we got back from Thanksgiving break. He was very tired from chasing around my childhood cat Buddy.
I miss fall.
It was so good to see my cousins (and bridesmaids!) over Christmas break while we celebrated Christmas Eve at my aunt and uncle’s house. We sort of ended up dressing in similar colors (this happens far more often than it should), which is always good for photos. My dress is from Target but is sold out, similar one here.
I had so much fun at my company’s Christmas party this year. I’m sad I didn’t get a full body shot of my dress, but it was a dark purple lace cap-sleeve dress. The exact one I wore has since sold out, but you can find a similar style here at Nordstrom.
For Thanksgiving and Christmas, I end up bringing my two cats home to my parent’s house for the holidays. They are always scared the first day (“Hey, where are we, Mom?”), but after a day or two they are more comfortable and exploring all over. I caught Harvey trying to eat a fake floral decoration. What else is new?
All my bridesmaids got together to go shopping for their dresses (and they got to see me try on my dress, too). I still haven’t decided if I’m going to share the color and style here on the blog or have it be a surprise at the wedding, so you’ll just have to wait. 😉
Who says New Jersey is ugly and smells? This beautiful fall foliage photo was taken a few months ago when James and I were looking for locations for our engagement photos. We ended up having them taken in Hoboken, but this shot is from the Paterson Great Falls Historic Park.
We had Uber kittens delivered to our office for National Cat Day. Getting to play with two adoptable kittens was a great way to take a break from a hectic work day. The event was created to raise awareness for cat adoption. If I didn’t already have two at home, you know I would have adopted one for myself.
I hope the wedding planning is going smoothly, loved this life update.
So far so good!
Happy New Year, Rachel! This is your year girl! So many exciting occasions to look forward too!
Aww thank you !
These are all great photos! Uber kittens?? I couldn’t handle that. They would have came home regardless of me having 3 already. Great Falls is a gorgeous area!
haha if I lived alone that would be the case
Dang girl, you’ve been having fun! Hope 2016 is the best year yet – can’t wait to hear more about your upcoming wedding too!
Thanks!
