Wedding Dresses Under $500
One of the fun parts of planning a wedding is finding the dress. I was pretty lucky in that I spent one Saturday visiting just two local bridal shops and then made a decision a few days after. I had a budget in mind going in, so I knew which types of dresses were in and out of my price range (which I encourage everyone to do. Going in with a blank slate and no idea of which designers/styles cost what is just a bad idea). I’m a firm believer that a beautiful dress doesn’t need to cost $10,000. In fact, I think the dress I ended up choosing looks and feels like it should have been twice as much as I paid for it. While I definitely spent more than $500 on my own dress (most options at bridal stores in NY/NJ are between $1,000 and $5,000), that’s mainly because I bought a designer gown. If you want to spend less than $1,000, your best bet is to try stores like Nordstrom, BHDLN (they have a few under $1,000 you can try), Dillards, and Lord and Taylor, to name a few. Here are a few wedding dresses under $500 for those on a budget.
