May is Mental Health Month
Since 1949, Mental Health America and their affiliates across the country have led the observance of “May is Mental Health Month” by reaching millions of people through the media, local events and screenings. Mental health (and the awareness of mental health issues) is a cause that hits close to home, which is why I’m sharing this post with you all today. There’s a ton you can do to help raise awareness for mental health, including participating in a NAMIWalk, volunteering in a support group, and donating money. I thought it would be great to highlight businesses and companies that either aim to raise awareness for the cause or donate a percentage of their profits to a mental health charity/organization.

I’ve actually used Hope in a Jar before, but I never gave a second thought to the reason it was called that. I liked the product before, but now I like it a lot more. 🙂
