How to Wear Pantone’s Color of the Year: Classic Blue

Every year Pantone comes out with their “Color of the Year”, and I like to follow along to see what they choose (and see the public outcry when they hate the color). Side note – did you know Pantone is a legit company and they have headquarters near me in NJ? I actually applied to a marketing position there a while back before I started my new job and was SO curious to see what type of work their marketing team does. I didn’t hear back, so the world will never know…

Back to the color itself. Lucky for me, this year’s color – Classic Blue – is a shade that actually looks semi-decent on my skin tone/hair color combination. Plus, I already own a few clothing items in this shade, like a sweater and my bridal shower dress. If this blue is too bold for your taste, I suggest wearing it in the form of accessories – like a swipe of eyeliner or a pair of bejeweled earrings. Otherwise, it’s a nice pairing for black, white, and even camel.
