Covergirl’s Clean Fresh Line
CoverGirl was one of the first real beauty brands I remember using in junior high. Back then, my beauty routine consisted of concealer on any pimples (and there thankfully weren’t all that many), clear mascara on my brows and lashes, and some pink blush. Once I got older I started incorporating some shimmery nude eyeshadow and black mascara. Although I don’t remember the exact names of the products, I can picture the packaging and colors in my head. Oh nostalgia…
We’ve come a long way since then when it comes to beauty. Not only do I now know how to actually use makeup, but the brands themselves have much larger (and cleaner) product offerings.
CoverGirl’s new Clean Fresh line is formulated without sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, parabens, and talc. It’s also vegan! And while I don’t solely use clean beauty products myself, I do try to incorporate them into my routine when available. Here are some of the products in the Clean Fresh line currently.
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation
Milky coconut and soothing aloe are just two of the ingredients that make me want to try this foundation out. If you’re on the more dry side, this sounds perfect for you.
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Mascara
This mascara currently has 4.5/5 stars on Ulta, which is pretty good for mascaras (which I find people are the harshest critics on, rightfully so). The curved brush will help lift and separate lashes.
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Hydrating Concealer
The concealer comes in 14 shades and is in a wand form (my favorite for applying concealer – I really hate having to use my fingers and put them back into the pot).
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Prep & Set Water Mist
In the summer, I like to use mists to set my skin and make it feel cool, but I’ll admit I don’t use them often in other seasons. This one looks intriguing though, and comes in three scents: rose, cucumber, and citrus.
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Cooling Glow Stick
This product is a highlighter and and skin cooling product in one. You can use it on the brow bone, cheekbones, or anywhere you want a hint of shimmer and color.
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Cream Blush
To me, these cream blushes look more like a dewy highlighter due to the lighter shades and lighter finish.
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Tinted Lip Oil
This lip pol comes in the most fun, pigmented colors. I don’t think I could pull off the purple (I know I couldn’t…) but the other pink shades are more doable.
CoverGirl Clean Fresh Pressed Powder
This powder is touted to hide pores – just what I need. Unfortunately it only comes in three shades, so I hope they end up being more inclusive with their range.
