What to Wear for Christmas
For me, Christmas is one of the few times I get dressed up for a holiday. In fact, it’s been a tradition for many years now for my 3 female cousins and I (on my Dad’s side) to take our obligatory “cousins” photo in our cute outfits. Sadly, now that we’re all old and married and having kids, it’s much harder for us to get together and take the photos. Nevertheless, I have many memories to look back on and memorable outfits (both “Oh that was so cute” and “What was I thinking?”)
It seems like Christmas might be a little lonely this year with all the regulations and safety concerns around COVID, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still dress up in something cute even if it’s just you and your significant other/parents sitting around the Christmas tree! In fact, I’ve noticed that days when I get dressed up and do my hair/makeup, I feel a little bit better about the state of the world. Whatever works, right?
Whether you’re a sweater and leggings girl or tend to navigate towards a pretty dress, here are some ideas for what to wear this Christmas. Each set features items that are red, green, black, white, and patterned (like plaid). Which ones are your favorites?
Dresses for Christmas
If you’re feely fancy (or just don’t want the restriction of wearing jeans or pants while eating your Christmas meal), a dress may be your go-to for holiday parties. Pair them with tights and heeled booties.

Blouses for Christmas
My go-to outfit for the holidays (and work — back when we were going into the office) is a pretty blouse and skinny jeans or dress pants. For Christmas I tend to gravitate toward the typical colors (red, green, you know the drill) or jewel tones since they look nice against my skin. My pale skin…
